Kyle McLennan singled in Josh Rudolph with the winning run with one out in the last of the eighth in a game moved to Proctor because of wet grounds at Wade Stadium.

Rudolph scored twice and McLennan had a pair of hits for the Hilltoppers (5-4). Kevin Russ earned his first win of the year with an eight-hit, no-walk performance.

Robby Hansen took the loss for the Rails, but walked only one batter in 7 1/3 innings. Nate Ellison and Ryan Delucca had two hits each for Proctor, and Delucca had two RBIs.

Marshall 4, Proctor 3

Again, Proctor found themselves on the short end of a one-run victory. This time the game was forced into an extra inning before the Marshall Hilltoppers were able to plate the winning run in the bottom half of the eighth inning. Though played at Proctor, Marshall was the home team in this game rescheduled from earlier in the season.

Scott Wojtysiak went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run. Nate Ellison went 2-for-4 and scored a run. Ryan Delucca added one hit in four at bats and the Rails' third run.

Robby Hansen was the pitcher.
