Greenway 14, Proctor 5

The next day Proctor hosted Greenway. The cost in the game was far greater than what took place on the scoreboard. Rails' senior Nick Podgornik broke his arm in the sixth inning diving for a fly ball in the outfield.

"This game hurt not just because we lost," said the coach Tim Rohweder, "but also because we lost one of our senior leaders in Podgornik. He will miss the rest of the season. Nick ended a very solid career at PHS."

In the first inning, the Rails' lead-off batter Ryan Anderson sent the ball over the fence in left-center field for the solo home run.

Proctor was able to post that one run in the first, two in the third, and two more in the bottom [sic] of the seventh inning.

Greenway posted five runs in the third inning, four in the sixth and two in the seventh.

Kyle Wojtysiak had three RBI's and Dustin Wiita scored twice and stole three bases.

Ryan Anderson took the loss on the mound for Proctor.
