Hardballers top Marshall, lose to Esko and Carlton

Wins have been few and far between for the Proctor High School baseball team, so those victories the team grabs are as sweet as they can be.

Such was the case this past week as the Rails sandwiched in a big victory over Duluth Marshall between losses to Esko and Carlton...

Proctor 9, Marshall 5

Proctor rebounded to crush the Marshall Hilltoppers in a Lake Superior Conference outing.

Ryan Anderson had one hit in two at bats, scored a run, and had two RBI's. Doug Anderson logged two hits in three trips to the plate and clubbed in two RBI's. Jake Comnick went three-for-three and added a single RBI. Bud Brandon Tessier and Ryan Vanderscheuren each scored twice, while Dustin Wiita had three hits in four trips to the plate, added two runs, and a trio of RBI's.
