Recap for the 04/28/1983 game @ Duluth Denfeld-Morgan Park

Preview Recap
Duluth Denfeld-Morgan Park 11, Proctor Rails 1

Senior left-hander Todd Solarz struck out 13 to account for all but two of the outs and allowed only two hits in leading Denfeld-Morgan Park to an 11-1 Lake Superior Conference win over Proctor Thursday at Wade Stadium.

The game was called in the fifth inning because of the 10-run rule.

D-MP had just two hits, one by Solarz, but took advantage of 11 walks by three Proctor pitchers. The Hunters drew six of those walks in the fourth inning and scored five runs. Greg Amsler had a run-scoring single for the winners.

Tim Sundstrom had both Proctor hits.
