Steve Makitalo struck out 10 on his way to a one-hitter as Proctor defeated Cathedral 7-1 in Proctor.
Makitalo lost his no-hitter on a sixth-inning single and shut out Cathedral until the seventh, when the Hilltoppers scored on a hit batsman and three walks.
The Rails, 1-2, managed only five hits off Brian Homstad, but Todd Johnson pounded two doubles and drove in three runs. Homstad struck out six.
