Central vs. Proctor

Proctor returned home Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, fate was not as kind to the green and white on that day. The Rails struggled through the afternoon before dropping a conference decision to age-old rival Duluth Central. When all was said and done, the Trojans bested the Proctor crew by a disappointing 8-3 margin. The host Rails mustered only five hits against the Duluth squad, who came into the contest with a less-than-impressive 0-4 early-season record.

Two of those Proctor hits were notched by Justin Blackmer. The 11th-grade catcher led the Rails' offense by going 2-for-3 at the plate against the Trojans.

Despite a big effort from the mound, senior hurler Kyle Jonland took the loss on the mound for the Rails.
