Richardson tosses East a no-hitter
Bill Richardson pitched Proctor's third no-hitter when he shut out East High school, 5-0, last Friday at Wade. Only one walk marred his near-perfect performance as he struck out 16 in the seven-inning game.
Immediately following the East game, Nik Peterson chalked up a win over Denfeld in the closing game of the regular season.
Tuesday evening Proctor's baseball season ended abruptly as they were upset by Cloquet, 0-1, in the first round of sub-region play at Cloquet.
The Rails were undefeated in the conference during the regular season, and lost two games and one scrimmage against non-conference teams.
