Preview Recap
Proctor Rails 8, Duluth Denfeld 1

Steve Ohme's bases-loaded triple in the fourth inning highlighted Proctor's 13th win of the season as the Rails downed Denfeld 8-1 in the final regular-season game for both teams at Wade.

Scott Pionk scored on an infield hit by Dan Norton in the first inning, and Craig Pionk and Nik Peterson added one-run shots in the second to give the Rails a 3-0 lead before Ohme's blast put the game out of reach.

Todd Solarz scored the Hunters' lone run on a passed ball in the sixth inning.

Peterson picked up the win, pitching a one-hitter for four innings before getting relief help from Dan Norton.

Rod Zivkovich and Tom Kero relieved starter Brian Parendo, who took the loss for Denfeld, now 3-13.
