...The high school baseball team journeyed to Cloquet last Friday to receive its second defeat at the hands of the Lumberjacks. After giving up six runs in the first inning on five walks by Dale Bentz and five team errors, the Rails settled down to some steady playing and the score ended 8-0 in favor of Cloquet.

Arnston of Cloquet had a no-hit, no-run game tucked under his belt up until the last main to face him. After having two strikes on him, "Red" Donald Fontaine rapped out a single to spoil Arnston's almost perfect pitching game. Jim Lowe followed Fontaine with a single, but the Proctor rally stopped there.

Dale Bentz, the losing pitcher, gave up three hits, one of which was a home run by Arnston...
