PROCTOR -- Proctor defeated Eveleth-Gilbert, 1-0, in a non-conference baseball game here on Tuesday, May 25.

Cooper Johnson delivered an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning and Grant Walker tossed a shutout.

Walker (6-0, 2.39 ERA) allowed two hits and no walks with two strikeouts. The Golden Bears touched him for both hits with one out in the second inning but a double play ended the threat.

Conner Pavlowich batted 2-for-3 with a double, a run, and a stolen base.

Losing pitcher Brandon Lind allowed one run on three hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts in six innings.

Eveleth-Gilbert is now 14-4.

Proctor, 10-8, is back in action on Thursday, May 27, at home against Moose Lake-Willow River.
