... Hermantown played for the first time on its new field, but lost 13-2 to Proctor. Terry Egerdahl did most of the damage for the Rails with a three-run homer in the third with three hits in all and four runs batted in.

Terry Egerdahl banged out a three-run homer and had two other hits in leading Proctor. Bill Moen was the winning pitcher with a two-hitter in a game called after five innings by a 10-run rule.
