PROCTOR -- Proctor defeated Warroad, 10-4, in a non-conference baseball game here on Friday.

Proctor took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when AJ Reyelts led off with a walk, advanced two bases on Tanner Ross's groundout, and scored on Tanner Olson's RBI double.

The Rails scored another solitary run in the second inning when Blake Imhoff hit a double and scored on Ethan Carter's RBI double.

Proctor jumped to a 7-0 lead with a five-run fifth frame. The inning featured RBIs by Imhoff, Kennan Reyelts, and Ross, and was capped by a two-RBI single by Sam Johnson.

Warroad cut the lead to 7-1 in the fifth, but the Rails tacked on three more runs in their half of the inning; two runs scored when Nolan McLeod reached base on a third-strike passed ball.

Warroad scored a run in the sixth and two in the seventh for the final tallies.

AJ Reyelts was 2-for-3 with three runs and two stolen bases. Olson was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and Imhoff was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs, and an RBI.

Liam Grover and Jacob McFarlane had two hits apiece for Warroad, 0-1.

Winning pitcher Kennan Reyelts (1-0, 1.40 ERA) worked the first five innings. He allowed one run on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

Chance Smith took the loss. He allowed seven runs (two earned) on eight hits, one walk, and one hit batsman in three and two-thirds innings. He did not have any strikeouts.

Proctor, 3-1, is at Two Harbors on Monday, May 2.
