PROCTOR -- Proctor defeated Aitkin, 7-6, in 10 innings in a non-conference baseball game here on Thursday.

The Rails, trailing 6-5, plated two runs with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning for the win. Tyler Berglund walked with one out in the 10th. He advanced to second on a single by Wyatt Mineheine with two outs. Berglund took third on an outfield error on the play. Mineheine attempted to take second base on the play and a relay-throwing error at second base allowed both Berglund and Mineheine to score.

Aitkin broke a 5-5 tie with a run in the top of the 10th on five walks and a wild pitch.

The 5-5 score had remained in place since the sixth inning after Ian Gilles's two-RBI single erased Aitkin's 5-3 lead.

Aitkin struck first, with three runs in the first inning. Proctor scored two in the first on a single by Blake Imhoff, a walk to Tanner Ross, two wild pitches, and two balks.

The Gobblers scored solo runs in the second and fourth innings for a 5-2 lead.

Proctor made the score 5-3 with a run in the fifth when Mineheine hit a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Blake Imhoff.

Tanner Ross and Mineheine had two hits apiece for Proctor.

AJ Reyelts (1-0, 7.00 ERA) picked up the win with one inning of relief pitching. He allowed one run on no hits and five walks with one strikeout. Mineheine allowed one run on two hits and six walks with six strikeouts in six innings in relief of starter Blake Imhoff.
