SUPERIOR -- Proctor defeated Superior, 4-1, in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game here on Tuesday.

Tyler Berglund (2-0, 0.98 ERA) tossed a four-hit complete game for the win. He allowed one run (unearned), one walk. and three hit batsmen with seven strikeouts.

Superior began the scoring in the first inning on a hit, two errors, a walk, and a hit batsman.

Proctor took the lead with two runs in the third inning. Tanner Ross reached on an error with one out and scored from first base on AJ Reyelts' RBI double. Reyelts took third on a wild pitch and scored on Cooper Johnson's RBI single.

Proctor added one insurance run in the sixth and another in the seventh.

In the sixth, Reyelts led off by getting hit by a pitch. He advanced to second on Johnson's infield single and scored on an error on the play.

In the seventh, Ian Gilles led off by reaching base on a third-strike wild pitch. Dylan Davidson re-entered to run for Gilles. Davidson advanced to second on Blake Imhoff's sacrifice bunt, took third on a wild pitch, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Tanner Ross.

Johnson led the offense with three hits and one RBI. Ethan Carter added two hits.

Proctor is now 5-2. The Rails are back in action at Cloquet on Thursday, May 4.
