PROCTOR -- Proctor defeated Hermantown, 2-0, in a Lake Superior Conference baseball game here on Tuesday. Nick Terhaar and Tanner Ross combined on the three-hit shutout.
Terhaar (2-0, 0.86 ERA) pitched six and one-third innings for the win. He allowed two hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts. Ross picked up the save by recording the final two outs. He allowed one hit.
Proctor was also held to three hits: a double by AJ Reyelts and singles by Tyler Berglund and Ethan Carter. Reyelts scored on a Terhaar sacrifice fly and Terhaar scored on an RBI by Carter.
The Rails are now 4-2. They are back in action at home on Friday, April 26, vs. Warroad.

Nick Terhaar had 10 strikeouts vs. Hermantown. He now has 106 strikeouts in his varsity career and is the 14th known Rails pitcher to surpass 100 career strikeouts.
